Interesting day today - heard someone outside our farmhouse (in the middle of nowhere in Obertauern, Austria) asking for help. Found a Croatian ski guide with a group of 12 English kids, all of who were completely lost. Guide had no map, no phone, and no clue where he was or how he'd got there! No way to get back up to the lift, so had to ferry them down to the valley in three trips in the car, then another trip with all their skis. "Guides" name was Ivan - soon to be named "Ivan the terrible" no doubt 😊. Still, got a bottle of good wine and a lot of karma out of it 🍷.
