Can you get to Brown Cove Crags from Swirls Car Park?

Or is the road still a bit broken...

Any alternative approaches? I'm guessing you could get there over the top of Helvellyn but seems like a bit of a ball ache.

You cant use Swirls but park in the layby just before.

Thanks mate. I assume you can get that far down the A591 before the road hits the closure? And is it best to come from Keswick or can you get there from Grasmere?

The road is closed from the south just past the summit of Dunmail and from the north at or around Swirls

You have to come from keswick lay by is just before road closure

It took me this long to move the rock. I haven't been up the Lakes for ages and so wasn't aware of exactly where the road was closed. Bloody rocks. Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.

the B5322 which cuts the corner off from the a66 to the a591 is also closed. so you have to access the a591 from Keswick
