hi- in the next favourable weather window I'm planning an overnighter onto Ben Macdui from Cairngorm. I haven't been up this year- can anyone report the conditions on the plateau- is it scoured to ice or has there been any good cover ?

very good cover last Friday..since when thaw,wind and more snow!

For what it's worth, last weekend was great cover on the plateau, and since then there's been a bit of a thaw (one day only) but more snow dumped recently. I'd wager it will be good over to Ben Macdui at the moment.

Aye - I check mwis and sais blogs every day -always brilliant info and photos ,just wondered of anyone had been over that way recently before strapping on the planks and ending up carrying them for two days.Thanks for responses though ,much appreciated.
