I read the story today regarding the re-assessment of the height of Ben Nevis.

In the accompanying map clip there is a telephone symbol at the CIC hut - is this an external emergency phone or is it inside?

In the door on the right, so accessed from outside I think.

its for phoning in your dinner order - although deliveries can take a wee while, but they heat up no problem in the ovens / microwave ovens

ponies are to be trialed over the summer to see if it speed up delivery times, the possibility to extend the service to provide pack mules for winter climbers next season also being considered

Can't you get your pizza delivered to the CIC hut by drone?

In reply to keith-ratcliffe:
I can just imagine the conversation with the takeaway:

"What are your coordinates please caller?"

"It's bla bla bla North, bla bla bal West."

"Thank you caller, your payment is accepted and my system tells me the pizzas will be delivered in the next 30 minutes".

30 minutes later...

"Hello Sir, I'm sorry to tell you that the delivery drone has flown beyond you for some reason and is giving its position as a place called Fersit. Can you nip over there and collect it?"

I thought that's what those big yellow helicopters were for.

Surely you get it free if they can't get it to you in 30 minutes?

In reply to keith-ratcliffe:
There's one inside and one outside, ISTR it directly connects by radio with the fire station in FW which coordinate it.
