Hi, I would like to get started in climbing, especially in bouldering as I am not a big fan of heights. Do you know of any bouldering sites near Stevenage/Hitchin? Thanks in advance.

Your closest is probably the XC in Hemel Hempstead. It's not the best, but if you're just starting out it's alright. You're also one train ride away from the Castle in London, which is pretty ace.

There's something in Harlow too. Never been there though.

Hatfield or better St Albans are your nearest

Try the crag search on this website. Put in your post code and you're away.

Bouldering at harlow is limited, probably better off elsewhere for maximum fun.

I normally go to London or MK

There is one at Hatfield in the uni, but it is very limited.

Arch North, is pretty close if you're in a car (about 45mins), and that wall is awesome - they do courses and intros and all that stuff...

or you could always join Scouts/explorers/Network and wheedle you way into their block booking of the brand new wall at priory school on wednesday nights

...or join me on my training wall in hitchin - although that might be a bit much for a novice...

Big Rock in Milton Keynes - I pop in there when I'm up that way visiting my parents and it's pretty good for a bouldering and has a a decent selection of routes. The cafe is ok too
