Hi all

I'm interested in sending some data over a satellite phone from a remote bit of Central Asia - probably a 50kb file or so.

What is the best way to accomplish this (in terms of price and lightweightedness/portability)?

Ideally using a regular sat phone.

What's a good price per kb?

Also, if signal is lost halfway through sending the file, how do we ensure that we don't need to restart/resend it completely? My previous experience with sat phones was that they could be rather patchy.
