> It’s an interesting question and one we are about to find the answer to. On his last tour when John previewed a new song from this potential new album he joked:
> “The reason there hasn’t been an album of new Otway songs for a decade is, I believe, down to lack of demand. The beauty of Kickstarter is that you can work out if the demand is there before you bother to write the songs”
> He was never one of the most prolific songwriters, and ten years is par for the course. But those people who admire John’s songwriting have been eyeing the notebook he has been carrying as its pages slowly gained the ears of dog and noticed that it is now almost full.
> “One nice thing about people not screaming for a new album is that there is no pressure to produce something until there comes a point when you really feel you’ve got enough ideas to do something special, and I’ve got that feeling now,” says John
