May, no wind, no rain, no sunshine - the little blighters/biters are back!! Just in time for the bank holiday masses! Windgather this evening did not live up to its name, & I have been sent packing early.

I live near Loch Lomond and I gave yet to be bitten this year, and I am outdoors everyweekend , and out on my bike after work.

And long may it last

But I still carry a face net and skin so soft in my bike pannier ( at all times, I never know when you might get a puncture, and get ambushed)

Try hanging out in the woods on the east side of the Loch for a while and you will soon meet them!

In reply to buxtoncoffeelover:

I was at Windgather from 7:30pm and although they were around I don't think I was bitten. I was soloing so not hanging around in any one place for any time.
In reply to Michael Hood:

I was doing the same from 5.30 til 7pm. This morning I'm scratching - I have a delayed but longer lasting reaction to the bites than some of my partners.
No wind to speak of today either - heading for the Roaches. See if they've hatched there!
