its annoying as feck isn't it, its happened to me several times over the years and never as much as a note left. I've done it once where I scraped 3 day old car badly and when I left my details on a note and reported it to the police both the police and the other owner seemed surprised I had coughed up about it.
its odd that people who are normally law abiding fairly decent people think its ok to walk away , well drive away and leave you to it.
