I'm going to Mathry in Pembroke for a weeks family holiday & expect to get a day of route climbing and maybe some DWS in. Is there a guide that has DWS routes and trad/sport & maybe bouldering - doesn't have to be particularly comprehensive as only got a day or two of climbing so guessing rockfax may be better than CC ? Cheers

Don't bother with the rockfax, get the cc north Pembrokeshire guide. There is dome sport at Porthgain but its not great, there is dws 5 minutes from mathry at aberastle, plus more dws spots closer to st Davids, and obviously all the trad... For bouldering its not far past Fishguard to Dinas, and not far down the road to maiden castle and plumstone.

There isn't much sport or bouldering in Pembroke (as far as I'm aware anyhow). The new CC selective does include some DWS and is more comprehensive than the Rockfax (also a bit more expensive) -- either of those should be fine for a brief visit.

There's no sport in Pembrokeshire apart from a little pretty undistinguished sport in North Pembroke. There is a bit of sport just over the border in Carmarthenshire though. There is a bit of bouldering in Pembrokeshire - the only place that I know where it's documented is in the CC definitive guides.

This is without doubt the best selective guide for the occasional visitor: http://www.wired-guides.com/#guides/pembroke
Many more routes and crags than the Rockfax and a fraction of the price of the full set of 5 comprehensive guides, although those document a little more bouldering. I'd recommend No match for crag id:3959 for a spot of DWS, but keep an eye out for Jellyfish, there were loads in the water there when I visited, fortunately I stayed dry!

There's also the photo-topo guide which covers just the crags along the southern bays of St Davids peninsular - http://www.photo-topo.co.uk .

^^This. Superb guide, a huge amount more in it than the Rockfax.
