Did a ride this evening and forgot to end it at the top of my road so have ended up with it going right up to my front door. Having 300 odd followers I'd obviously rather not broadcast my address. Is there a way to delete the last 300 meters of the ride?

Put it on as private, download the gpx, edit the gpx using an online tool, then reupload it and make it public. That should work, bit of a faff though.

You can easily crop a ride/run within Strava, if you have it there.
