Hi all.

Heading to Lofoten tomorrow with the girl, she's not been so keen on leading multipitch routes (despite being quite impressive on single pitch stuff), but it is of course Lofoten.

Looking for suggestions for routes around n4/5- (around HS to easy VS?), that are suitable for a relative novice to have a go at the crux, without freaking out too much.

We don't have the guidebook and are struggling with the app, tried perusing ukc from the phone, but ending up with more questions than answers (especially as I still don't know what n grades really mean).

We're van based so any location is fine.

Thanks in advance

The full Intro to the book is available here as a PDF http://www.rockfax.com/book-previews/lofoten-intro/#/6/ which should help a little with grades, maps, Top 50 etc. Here is a full map http://media.rockfax.com/2011/07/Lofoten-map.pdf and here is a sample chapter that includes the utra-classic easy route of Bilberries.

That should be enough to get you going,

Chris

A good starting point would probably be Pianohandler Lunds rute (n4+) on Pianokrakken Pianokrakken

Nordryggen (n4+) on Vagakallen for a big day out or the classic Bare Blåbær (n5-) for an almost as big day out.

In reply to GarethSL: pianohandler Lunds route is a good call, and very straightforward with short pitches.

If your partner can't jam Base Blåbær might be interesting.
