Hi all, we run a indoor play centre in the south of England which includes a 7 meter high climbing wall. Can anyone suggest a heath and safety consultant to help with our risk assessments?

Thanks in advance.

Have a look at the Association of Mountaineering Instructors website (many AMI members work in technical advisor roles).

There is also some useful information from the BMC re managing climbing walls.

Hi,

I know Jon Wilson at http://www.bournemouthclimbing.co.uk/ who technical advises for a few climbing walls around the South Coast. Be worth a phone call to see if he can help you out.

I'd second some of the above. You need a technical adviser who can look at the wall, assist with risk assessment and help you develop operating procedures to mitigate the identified risks. They will also, probably, assist with staff training and appraisal.

Normally you would be looking at holders of MIA, MIC or Guides carnet with experience of such work.
