A classic ex ambulance with probably the best chassis/body combination of its’ generation. One of the last ambulance models with a connected cab/saloon area.

A December1998 Mercedes Sprinter 312 D MWB chassis with 2.9 turbo diesel engine. Total miles 206,000 only 38,000 since bought by current owners in 2006. Engine still runs well and will happily cruise at 70mph. New tyres with powder coated rims last year. Rear brake refurb with new brake callipers March this year. 12 months MOT. Serviced regularly.

The UVG Laser body is in good condition and was re-sprayed 2 ½ years ago, along with replacement cab doors. All saloon electrics: lighting, fans, 12v outlets, still running and powered from a separate leisure battery. Diesel powered ‘Webasto 3500D Air top’ heater keeps the saloon warm on cold nights. All blackout windows have roller blinds. Thule roof bars fitted, previously used to transport kayaks.

Limited conversion carried out as standard seat and storage configuration suited owners requirements. Stretcher removed and replaced with wooden slat bed and foam mattresses, which can be used as double or single. Radio not included but speakers wired front and rear. DAB roof aerial, with booster. Loads of useful internal and external storage cupboards. Cooker not included and would have to be replaced to preserve taxation class.

Would suit further conversion or use as a general purpose leisure / utility van. Ideal vehicle to come back to after a long day in the hills or on the water.

£3700

Please contact for further info / pics. Location - Central Scotland
