Hi

Planning a trip to the Verdon this autumn and looking to book a gite for 4 (no couples amongst us). Other than Gites de France.com anyone have any recommendations or contacts for somewhere good to stay? Basic self-catering, good location, cheap, no other requirements.

If you get stuck and cant find anywhere then as a slightly more expensive option I have stayed in a place owned by a famous French climber called Dominic or Dominique perhaps which was very nice.draw back being it was 30euro a night but they were proper beds and nice and quiet. Its as you start on the route de cretes and still when its still flat, on the left hand side,you will see a big blue I think sign.if you are interested I could try and dig out a number or the guys full name for you.
