Hi,

I'm out in the Dolomites for a few days in September. Originally I was planning to link together the VF Ivano Dibona (from Ospitale) with the Sorapiss group, staying in the Rifugio Lorenzi and then the Bivacco's on the Sorapiss circuit.

I've noticed that the Rifugio Lorenzi is now closed. Does anyone know if there are alternative Bivacco's or shelters on the route from Ospitale to the top of the VF Ivano Dibona or nearby? The Rifugio Ospitale looks like it's a hotel and it's not available for the night I was planning to be there (and expensive!).

Same goes for the Rifugio Vandelli and the Bivacchi on the Sorapiss? I emailed the Vandelli about reciprocal hut rights and got a curt reply saying that they only offer discounts to CAI members. I'm an AAC member, has anyone had a problem with this? What is provided in the bivacchi on the Sorapiss route?
