Just wondering if any one has made any plans for winter yet? Looking for some inspiration

Taking tentative steps into winter climbing, a friend and I are planning on doing every route below grade III we can find (maybe even mosieing onto IIIs if we think we can cope) on Helvellyn or Great End or St Sunday Crag or... Either on single days or wild camping at the base of the climbs for a couple of days and ticking off routes successively.

Sit indoors whilst it rains, go the wall, and then cry a bit.

Book a trip to Scotland which will conincide with an inevitable warm period.

Repeat above until April.

lol - that is my winter plan except I'd add -

..and be unable to get away on the 2 weekends when conditions are perfect, then spend hours looking at other people's AMAZING climbs online.

Cry a bit more.

Console myself that it's grit season. Apparently. If it'd stop raining.

I'd forgotten this key step - thanks of the reminder, that will fill my early January when I have no money nicely.

Ah yes. I'd also forgotten the 3.5 hour drive across Wales and England to go to the Works, several tea rooms and that bizarre cutlery factory.

If it's raining then you should be able to get some dry tooling in without witnesses.
