Hi

I was wondering if it was feasible to camp at or around the hut on route to mont blanc. I am thinking of pitching up for 2 - 3 days, being self sufficent and not asking anything of the hut.

Is this sort of thing allowed? If not is there somewhere else close by I could camp?

Yep, just as the link says it's possible/allowed to camp near the Tete Rouse hut.
.
Though I would recommend the Italian normal as a much quieter and nicer route.

The tete rousse glacier has a toilets and water, and is the normal bivvi spot for gouter if not using gouter hut.

Basically right underneath the Grand couloir. Look for 1000 tents. Get there early for a good spot. Can leave tent pitched while you summit.
