Just a heads up for anyone wanting to climb in the Avon Gorge this weekend 24th/25th. The university club will be taking 3 small groups of freshers out to try rock climbing throughout the day on both days (we have a sign up system in place to prevent a mass turnout).

The students will take turns to climb on a few (3 or 4) set up top ropes. We will only be present at sea walls in the small single pitch area (Simian, Daydream, 5b groove, etc) and hope to minimise our impact as much as possible. We will happily pause for a while to let others climb these routes if they wish.

We understand that the Sunday is a quiet climb day due to the half marathon but unfortunately this is the only weekend available to us to offer 'taster' sessions and it is the best way to get new students involved in the club.
