I occasionally need a knee pad for sport climbing. When I say 'knee pad', it often needs to go on my thigh. The problem is that I have the big thighs of a mountaineer not the skinny ones of a sport climber. I have borrowed the 5:10 Neon knee pad and it is hopeless. I can't get it onto my thigh (not far up my thigh I just mean a little above my knee)
I see that Send climbing do various large strap on knee pads - Classic, Slim and Downgrader. However, they don't seem to be sold in the UK.
As for making my own I am totally useless at that type of thing. Does anyone have any suggestions where I might buy something suitable?
