C class for us. Looks like it'll be tough one this year.

Best of luck to all!

See you there, although we've chosen the Medium Score for our sins.

In reply to bouldery bits:
Long Score yet again. Currently packing extra layer of grim determination and a spare sense of humour. Suspect it will be needed as the terrain can be unforgiving, recalling 2006.
Expect sore feet, it is either tussocks, bog, or slippery rock, all of it wet. Hope there is enough water on the hill. Its been hard to come by in recent training runs, having been so dry.
At least the weather looks calm and quite warm.

A tussocky bog somewhere. That's all you really need to know.

Glentrool, Galloway mountains, Southwest Scotland. Never been there. Wonder if it's like the other Southwest?

Thanks. That has a bit of history weather wise for old timers.

Long score for us as usual. Hoping the course is a bit better than in 2006 when we only used a third of the map area and spent half the day in the valleys.
The forecast looks excellent though - low cloud both days.

In reply to Tim Sparrow:

Good luck - don't forget anything this time! Rather wish I were playing, but better to look after what remains of my knees I think.

Have fun:

Type 1 Fun - General fFrivolity - unlikely
Type 2 Fun - Retrospective enjoyment - probably
Type 3 Fun - Absoute misery - distinct possibility
