Evening Guys,

Once again I'm looking for a cheap alternative. This time is a cheap alternative for memory map on iPhone. I have memory map on my phone by the 1:25000 Wales map is £41 which is money I don't have at the moment haha. Im wondering if there was any cheaper alternatives on the market?

Thanks phja, I'm pretty sure an MIC friend of mine mentioned View Ranger before. I'll give it a go on Monday.

Failing that I'll try the outdoors GPS app Y Gribin suggested.

Have a look at backcountry navigator, easy to use and can download maps for offline use

Viewranger is great, you can buy credits then download the tiles you want, which makes it very cost effective.

Routebuddy is worth a look too, mainly because they have Harveys maps, which are splendid.

Why don't you do what mountaineers and outdoor people did for centuries and use proper maps instead of new fangled electronic technology?
