There's a lot of life left in these boots, and I was hoping to get them repaired. The zipper parted ways with its other half while zipping the up on the hill.

But it's not your average zipper! Any idea how I might be able to repair these?

Looks like you need a new zip, http://www.pacifictrimming.com/default/zippers-6/riri-zipper/riri-waterresi... is the closest I can find. If you still have a local habadashary store they will probably be able to find a match, then you just need to find someone who can sew it for you?

http://www.pennineoutdoor.co.uk/haberdashery Seems like they will have something suitable.

In reply to Pok: Possibly you could just sew another zip on top, sail repairer's palm and needle could be useful.

This company do boot repairs and gaiter repairs I have never used them, call them and see what they say

I'd probably cut out the old zip rather than go on top, and then as you say hand stitch a new one in.

In reply to marsbar: Yes that would be best but hard to tell how accessible the toe box area is to work in.
