Anyone ordered from rhyouth.co.uk?

I just stumbled upon http://www.rhyouth.co.uk/ while looking for good prices on climbing shoes and wondered if anyone had used them previously?

A search for "climbing" gives a pretty extensive range of shoes - La Sportiva, Scarpa, Five Ten etc etc, all at less than half price rates - e.g. Solutions for £62.85. I could understand a few reductions, or a flash sale, but it just seems across the board, every pair of climbing shoes is around the £60-£70 range, even top end ones.

Can anyone vouch for them, or is it too good to be true?

No phone number that I can see. That in itself seems a bit dodgy. Best to speak to someone as a way of checking them out. Personally, I wouldn't take the risk with this one.
Having said that, last year I took a punt on some insane prices from theoutdoorshop.co.uk - crampons, winter boots, guide books, gloves, etc etc, all at 80% off, and it all turned up a few days later. I made sure I phoned the shop first and checked them out online as much as possible. I later found out it was their closing down sale.

Lack of any way to contact them would ring alarm bells for me... also googling rhyouth gives nothing which seems odd.

Chucking the url into wayback machine suggests it used to be used for Rough Hill Youth: https://web.archive.org/web/20150103142127/http://www.rhyouth.co.uk/

Looks pretty dodgy...

My thoughts exactly - no number, no google results etc...just wondered if there was any legitimate reason for the large discounts as in wee jamie's example above.

It's 100% scam. I bought from a previous incarnation of the site, which still has exactly the same template and wording, and after ordering some Salewa Blackbirds I received a cheap nasty pair of knock off Salomons. needless to say, there were no replies to any attempts I made to contact them.
Also, they are sent from China, so don't expect fast delivery.
Then again, 84 quid for a pair of La Sportiva Oly Mons? I'm almost stupid enough to try again at that price.! 😉

This company has *identical* terms and conditions and a rather similar "50% on footwear" feel

bad vibes!

The clumsy language used on the shipping and returns page says it all for me:

At a guess I'd say it's a Chinese company using a uk address, my friend was scammed on a pair of trainers which did arrive but we're so fake it was actually hilarious, I've noticed a lot of companies popping up on eBay lately that use uk addresses but ship direct from China. I always go by "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
