also one of their other videos the guy from trango says that if you need more slack you can grab the device and hold it shut to pull slack through (apparently this is "disengaging" rather than "overriding"), so the stuff about it being "ergonomic" and "designed to catch climbers, not just grab ropes" is just a load of marketing twaddle
