The Fontainebleau Workshop is a coaching holiday aimed at improving your climbing technique, and is a sure way to make rapid improvements.

Coached by Adrian Berry and Gareth Parry, the Fontainebleau Workshop is now in its 13th year and welcomes climbers of all levels of experience and ability.

Together we spend a week touring the fabulous sandstone boulders of Fontainebleau focussing on technique. Our aim is to improve your ability to move confidently and efficiently over rock by teaching specific skills as well as a general positive approach to achieving your goals.

During the week we will examine general movement skills such as foot-placement and body positioning, static and dynamic approaches, optimising hand and foot positions, as well as more specific techniques aimed at climbing features such as slabs, overhangs, aretes, cracks, slopers and rounded top-outs.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to explore the wealth of problems available in the forest, and if you find something you could use some help with - we'll be right there with you.

Coaching will be delivered through a combination of presentation to the group and 1:1 coaching where needed. The approach will be very hands-on with demonstrations and video recording.

The Fontainebleau Workshop is suitable for boulderers and route climbers, indoor climbing, and rock climbers, and you don't need to have your own bouldering mat.
