Keen and psyched climber, friendly, very pleased for us that we had done White Slab. Bought us both a beer in Manchester before we got the train back to Sheff,

Yes, a really nice chap. He was very much around in N Wales in the 70s. I spoke to him in the Padarn Lake a few times, and possibly the Vaynol too. I think I first met him through Terry Taylor ... can't remember. He was the kind of guy who made friends very easily and spoke to everyone.

Met him a few times in the pub in Achnasheen in the late 70s early 80s. Fine chatty guy.

Just sounds like someone I really would have liked to meet. Shame he's gone to a better place ( if one exists)
