I'm in Alpe d'Huez with very little snow, so I've booked a guide for a day to do something. I've done nothing in the Alps before, so I just told them I'm a novice and asked what they'd suggest. They suggested Pic Bayle, we get the cable car up and follow the arete.
The person in the guide office didn't speak much English, although she assured me my guide will. I just wondered what I should ask about and do to get the most out of the day?
