Haven't found anyone yet who has also read some of his work and wondered if anyone here has and what they thought? I've been on sick leave for a few weeks and did lots of reading and got through several of his titles; currently about halfway through "SAS Rogue Heroes" - turns out Bonnington's dad was one of the first recruits. Fascinating stuff if you're into WWII history.

I'd really recommend 'A Foreign Field'. A very readable book about a strange and heartbreaking story of WW1. I really enjoyed it and think its very accesible to non ww1 geek readers.

His book on the life and times Kim Philby is brilliant.

He also did the Operation Mincemeat documentary.

I love his books! I went through Agent Zigzag, Operation Mincemeat and Double Cross in no time. I need to go find more of his books.

I've got Operation Mincemeat ready for when I finish this one, and yep, seen his documentaries as well.
