Since Garmin bought Delorme a while ago I was very curious to see what they would come up with... Upon perusing Garmins site looking for a new GPS I discovered that they apparently just dropped the new InReach+ !

https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/561286

With features like - Iridium Sat-texting, SOS, Topographical GPS mapping (finally!), Altimeter, Barometer and Compass.

Out this quarter apparently. I want one, but I bet it will be bloody expensive.

I like this bit...

while the barometer can help to monitor the air pressure, while the digital compass keeps you beering and helps you to find your way even when there is bad visibility.

Nothing like a digital compass when you need a beer!
