Afternoon all,

There is a wealth of knowledge on here so I thought i'd try to make use of it. I've read a lot of text on elbow issues and i'm aware that cases are usually person-specific. However, I assume I have 'climbers elbow/golfer's elbow' with a reasonable pain felt just above the elbow between the elbow and wrist for the last month/6 weeks. This pain is stimulated by any form of pulling action, or by touching my ring finger and thumb together. I will be looking to book a physio if it doesn't clear up.

Currently stretching and doing extension exercises (weight on a stick etc), but would be keen to hear any info relating to the touching of thumb and ringer finger and associated pain near elbow.

Many thanks

In reply to Dave Warburton:

The muscles that flex and contract the fingers will have insertion points to the bone high on your lower arm, in and around the elbow. If you have inflammation in the elbow that extra pulling/movement may trigger the pain.
