Not quite the right shade of bloodshot, apparently there isn't much call for that in ladies footwear.

Talking of improvised and highly inappropriate equipment, I DID once cross a steep snow couloir in trainers, with just large stones to hack steps in it. Not roped of course.

Them were the days. The stone age in fact.
