The models include topos of ascent routes, historical information and anecdotes. We got in touch with Martin to find out more about the project.

Nice models. Pity some of the ascent routes are missing eg Everest SW Face and East Face, Annapurna S Face - all with British first ascents.

I didn't look at al the models but those I did had only one or two routes shown, so Everest has only the two 'voie normale' (via the south & north cols), missing routes such as the West Ridge, SW face, routes on the Kangshung face etc & it would have been interesting to see how these related to each other. Likewise there's only one route shown on Annapurna although there are several just on the south face.

Same with all the models - only one or two 'normal' routes on them. Shame, but maybe its work in progress ?
