I want to set up my smartphone as a webcam. I've got an app on the phone but apparently need something called an IP Camera adapter.

Can anyone recommend anything?

You could always use VoIP directly through the phone via an app? We use Skype on our phones to video chat with remote colleagues in work and it's not too bad.
