The super rich buying these underground appartments will go mad in weeks.
Not only that, they'd probably end up killing one another.
Id rather be incinerated.

( btw has freedom of speech vanished on UKC)

I think a lot of people will go to the Priesthole to watch the glow in or from the East

Yes. You're not allowed to say that. Report to room 101.

What happens to the youth hostel in Verbier if there's a nuclear alert?

Being an occasional 'Tunneler', I know quite a few places in the North West where I could hole up.
As I said on another recent thread, stockpile the homebrew kits and several tonnes of sugar.

Then emerge about 5 or so years later looking a bit like Gollum.

As a kid I lived near one of the decommissioned ROTOR stations that provided a great adventure playground for us. Latterly I found out that the site was at one point was going to be one of the silo locations for Britains short lived Blue Steel nuclear missile programmes. All a few miles from my house, I guess we would not have felt anything in the event of a soviet attack!

We have an old mine shaft in our garden, only 20m from the door, unfortunately it is collapsed, but maybe I should start digging.

Being type 1 diabetic I'd be screwed in the event of society braking down.

F*ck it, things'll be fine.

The wife is in the same boat, unless I can find a way to make insulin fast she is screwed.
