Does anyone have any experience/advice/information about ice climbing and skiing in Northern India? I'm going to be there for most of March, I haven't been able to find a great deal of information online. Any information/pointers much appreciated. If anyone is also going to be there please give me a shout.

Cheers,
Martin

North India is still a big place, perhaps you can be more specific!
I Was in Uttarakhand region in mid March 2015, still lots of snow above 3000m, it was a late spring though. Expect it to be hot though by March at that hight! not much help I know, but its a bump!

Gulmarg is a bit of centre for off piste skiing , unfortunately I think it's still got a travel advisory ( back in the day I would have taken this with a pinch of salt , but the possible consequence of walking into problems in this area are pretty gruesome ) :

Another good base would be Manali for both climbing and skiing .
I've been to both but on climbing trips rather than skiing and some time ago .
I think a couple of different people occasionally on here have been to both for skiing. Might be worth googling climb/ ski manali . I think PYB organised a trip there a few years ago, might be somebody stil there who was involved ?
Edit : in the past I've found a lot of good info from the websites of tour companies like this :
