It seems the only way to save the free world can be a Republican rather than Democrat backed impeachment or even coup d'état to ensure sufficient support/compliance from former Trump votes when enough of them wake up and smell the coffee.
But my recollection of the bunch of clowns in the Republican Primaries vying with each other to deny Darwinism, man made climate change etc makes me wonder of there is anyone in the wings to take the helm.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Have to wait 2 years for the next mid term elections to see who comes out of the woodwork.

In reply to kevin stephens:

No insight, but I'd guess John McCain or Colin Powell. It seems they're all biding their time at the moment.

May well be McConnell or Ryan. If Trump goes on like this they may get very, very worried about maintaining their majorities in the next elections.

The problem at the moment is that Trump is popular amongst "the base" so
Congresspeople risk their own support by attacking Trump. They have to wait until Trump has destroyed his credibility even with the base before they can move.

My fear is that the media's relentless hostility actually delays this day.
