My Lowe pro flipside 400 aw has finaly given up the ghost, on last weekends trip to The Peak. 2 of its zips gave out on me for good. It had been a good choice and would buy another one, but on checking the price of one of these online was put off. So is there a similar size and style of sack out there that is reasonably priced and would withstand years of Being draged around crags, mountains and genraly abused. With the flipside i could carry all my gear and also hang crampons and axes off it for winter routes will need something that does this as well. Cheers in advance for any replies.

Tenba's BYOB range (Bring Your Own Bag) might suit you...

It's a protective insert that you can pop into your usual climbing rucksack, protecting the gear and keeping wasted space to a minimum. They come in 4 sizes depending on how much kit you have too

Found a flipside 400 aw on ebay, but comes from Hong Kong so will probably be a copy has anyone or know of anyone who has one (copy from Hong Kong) and knows if they are any good.

I have a Dakine bag, but I don't think it'd quite do what you want with the winter equipment though. Its a camera bag through and through.

Similar idea to the tenba, I bought a lowe pro nova 200 bag that fits inside my regular rucksack as an insert (cost £12 of eBay)

Fstop do some very good bags but they are expensive

I just bought an F Stop Ajna and posted a similar question two weeks ago. I liked the system. I needed a framed bag plus space for a water bladder so I can take it on day trips out.
