Sounds pretty exciting.
I wonder who it is that's got the golden tickets.

Only next year as well, so not long to wait.

Certainly deeper than we have been for some time

It's a free return trajectory, so they may well travel further away from the earth than anyone has done before, and quite possibly faster.

It will certainly be further evidence to show the conspiracy nuts that you can travel to the moon and travel through the Van Allen radiation belt , given speed and shielding.

Don't hold your breath. This depends on two major components that have yet to fly - the Falcon Heavy launcher and the Dragon 2 spacecraft - and Space X have a record of being wildly optimistic at first than experiencing long delays. Probably well after 2020. Still, would be fascinating if it happens.

Donald Trump and Theresa May: Mexico and the EU are crowdfunding it.

That would date back to the 1960s - NASA established its Deep Space tracking network round the world to follow the progress of the [ahem, hoax] missions to the moon. Unfortunately the[ahem, hoax] transmissions were also received back from the moon by radio enthusiasts which would not have been possible if it had been a hoax.

If Farage was a passenger and we could see an inset of his face superimposed on footage of the trip it would look just like a Kerbal mission.

Although that's funny . Just imagine them as ambassadors for humanity .
Interplanetary war would be on the books.

Can I make a small contribution towards a single (outward) ticket for Nigel Farage.

No matter what, the scale of the ambition behind it is breathtaking
