Ok I am on EE with a SIM only plan. Do not want a smart phone so I went with one of their button phones. Which after only a couple of weeks I really dislike. However they don't really have any phones availible that I do like. So if I buy a SIM free phone off my own bat and put the SIM only SIM in it can anyone see any problems with that? The phone I have spotted on Amazon claims to work with any network.

Yep that'd work fine.

Just make sure the sim fits the new phone - sim cards come in a few different sizes

Yeah you'd need a phone that was unlocked (that is not tied to a specific network). But apart from that it's fine. Although go to GiffGaff for SImM only things, they're better than the rest!
