We are conducting research for the Low Pay Commission* on the impact of the National Living Wage on individuals on "non-standard" employment contracts - variable hours, minimum hours and zero hours contracts and/or who are contracted as "self employed".

"Sports and Leisure" is one of the industry sectors in our study.

We are hoping to interview people (aged 25 and above) working in the sector (e.g. as climbing instructors, coaches, personal trainers) on "non-standard" contracts about their experiences.

Interviewees are not named and will not be identifiable in the study. Interviews last around an hour. Participants are offered a gift card, to acknowledge their time.

We work at the Universities of Greenwich, Sheffield, and the West of England.
We are conducting the research in Bristol and the South West and in the Sheffield, Yorkshire and Humberside areas.

If you are willing, or would like to be interviewed or would like further information about this research project, email me through this website or stephanie.tailby@uwe.ac.uk

Many thanks
