It's interesting those behind the no confidence motion are staying very quiet in the public sphere. Are they hoping their votes are enough within the small group who bother to attend or vote at an AGM to achieve their aims despite the lack of wider public debate to clarify their position and almost universal criticism of their actions here and elsewhere. Its like the Climb Britain debacle in reverse but with less public support for the minority position.

Missed this post. Here's the text from the one I started:

The draft motion that some will have seen is here:

The BMC article makes it clear that the final motion doesn't contain the stuff about the Olympics and the IFSC that was in the draft and that this isn't what members will be asked to vote on. I've posted this at the top of a new thread as I think it's important that people have sight of the draft. In my opinion this motion is about so much more than the rebrand exercise. It seems to me that the signatories are trying to use the outrage generated by Climb Britain to unseat the leadership and change the direction of the organisation without being explicit that this is their intention.

Probably true - but maybe they need to be?

Not sure the Zimp would have been up for an early ascent of The Corner, taking several hours, mopping the holds with a (doubtless nicked) beer towel.

The FA of Shibboleth with a selfie stick?

Best not to go there...
