Anyone got any experience of Rhododendron logs for burning in a wood burner? There is loads of it that has been cut within 200m from my house which could fill my log store twice over. Searching the internet has given conflicting reports on its worth as a fuel so I thought I'd ask here. It appears as though the wood, but not its smoke is poisonous, so do I also need to keep my dog away from the sticks of it?

Not that you should ever trust anything you read on the internet, it seems many sites suggest burning rhododendron as fuel is worthwhile.

Not sure about the dog bit though.
