Very interesting, thanks for posting the link. Self-assembly of macromolecules, apparently so readily done in nature, seems to be a tough nut for chemists to crack*; and once it has been understood and can be designed and controlled, many doors will open.

* some work has already been done, and the award of the 2016 Nobel prize in chemistry to Stoddart and others was a recognition of this.
