I've got VM Workstation V12 and it's been great up until last night.
I have a number of XP VMs and they are all running like someone's poured treacle inside them, my others, Win7, Win10 and Mint are all working as before.
It's not the Host machine as it's got plenty of everything it needs, memory, disk space, processors etc.
I'm in the process of updating VM tools on one of the XP Vms, but it's taken about 4 hours and hasn't finished yet! and I don't think this is going to sort it.
Running Taskmanager on the VM shows 0% system Idle time, but Taskmgr using about 50% CPU the rest of the CPU is used up with other stuff to 100% constant.
I've reduced the number of Cores per processor to 1 from 2 but this made no difference.
Help!! Any suggestions greatly received.
