Somewhere cheap and sunny Europe early May

Hi does anyone know somewhere maybe south of france or italy where they can recommend airport and accommodation that could work out quite cheap in early may for me and a mate.
Done El Chorro and Costa Blanca a lot so somewhere different would be good.

I think Frankie is meaning with S France or Italy, not another country S of there. I could be wrong.

Seconded; there are a few campsites, local buses / walk /taxi will get you to a lot of sectors. Try Genoa as an alternative airport.

Russan just north of Nimes? The local village with a campsite is actually within the city bus network (I think). So beautiful (the climbing I mean, not the buses).

Isn't it a big reflector bowl? I've climbed there in the snow so would have assumed May would be quite intense...

Thanks all, Finale and Russan both sound good, I will check them out.
The mother-in-law lives in Turkey, and I'd be afraid to go there in case I bumped into her. (I know, I know it's a big country, but none the less......)
