Hi,

Heading out to the alps in late June this year for 2 weeks. I'm going with a more experienced friend and we're planning on doing easier routes pretty much F and PD mainly. However theres always a chance we might try a AD towards the end if all is going well etc.

My question is what type of boots will be okay for this? (I assume in june there could be a lot of snow about). I currently have a pair of scarpa r-evo pro gtx which are relatively stiff B1 boots, I've been happy enough climbing vdiff/severe in them. Along with a very basic 10 point crampon (simond caiman 2 strap crampons).

Is this set up likely to be suitable? Or do I really need to go for B2/B3? (I'd obviously much rather not have to buy another pair of boots but don't want them to be the limiting factor of what I'm doing).

Thanks
Andrew
