Hi everyone, **BIRD NESTING** would be great if local climbers could share this ????

As always this time of year certain crags have bird nesting restrictions. One such crag in north east Wales limestone is Craig Arthur in the llangollen (clwyd) valley. Which is a nesting site for protected birds, these crags are observed by volunteers to try and ascertain weather the particular nesting sites are in use and weather they can be opened or need to stay closed to allow the chicks the best possible chance.

Now in the last week climbers have been seen climbing within the restricted zone having walked past a BMC notice.

Please don't these protected birds are protected for a reason and climbers disturb their nesting... there's plenty of rock to climb so please abide the restrictions.

Cheers Tom (BMC access volunteer)
In reply to Tomfurey:

More to the point, disturbing ANY nesting bird (whether or not protected, or recognised by the BMC) is a criminal offence.

Careful climbers don't intentionally disturb any birds; only idiots disturb birds when there's a sign warning you not to!
