Laser treatment - finger injuries

The climber in this video(!) recommends laser treatment for finger injuries.

Looks to me he uses a chromatic thing. Probably a combi of infra red and laser. Do you know (by experience) if it works for non bacterial infections, like he says (with a smile) finger injuries. Regenerating tissue with laser therapy is known for skin problems, but for ligament treatment, i wasn't aware of that? I even wouldn’t dare to take shockwave therapy on my hands. I wait it out … and tape.

I never tried laser treatment myself because my gf prefers (she's a physio) therapeutical ultrasound - and I get that all the time
