The wife wants to go for a walk tomorrow, nothing too strenuous, as she's carrying a bit of a bump but she's in good shape apart from that.

Any suggestions? I've run out of ideas...

Cheers,

Trist

Aberfoyle ... you can drive up to Loch Drunkie on the Duke's Pass and there're various wanderings to have around there. Alternatively park at the Queen Elizabeth forest park and wander around near the waterfall and things down there.

It'll be boring as hell for you but easy enough.

Cool thanks, sounds a good shout. Haven't been up that neck of the woods in years.

I've no idea if these might be too strenuous or ground too rough.

Loch Lomond will have great views tomorrow.

Queens view & The Whangie , path to Whangie may be good for a twisted ankle though?

Conic Hill

Whitelee windfarm & visitors centre - gentle gradients, good tracks plus coffee & cake

In reply to elsewhere:

I should have thought Conic Hill - long flights of very steep timber steps, a grunt up and bone-jarring in descent - would be a destination of choice if the lady were keen to induce premature labour.

Zebidee's on the right lines with some ambles around the David Marshall Lodge above Aberfoyle - a spring flush of green in the trees and fabulous wide views in this glorious clear weather.

The Whangie's well worth a visit, and it's an easy walk.

Duncryne is a very small, easy hill with great views.

Finnich Glen is great, even just to visit the easy-access middle bit, though it might be a shorter walk than you're looking for.

Thanks all. Going to head Aberfoyle way. We've been to the Whangie recently, and Loch Lomond is nice, but rammed with neds at the weekend.

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions everybody. Had a very pleasant amble up Doon hill (just enough trees for the constant toilet stops and then a nice ramble around Loch Drunkie. Wifey very happy to get out into nature!
